Long John

  • Grevillea Long John is a fast-growing medium-sized shrub, reaching heights of 10 feet or more with a similar width. It showcases 2”-3” pink coral multi-hued flowers throughout the year, with the heaviest blooming occurring in winter and spring. While it possesses a somewhat open growth habit, a light prune in August helps maintain a tight appearance.

Long John, when on its own roots, can face issues with chlorosis, an iron deficiency leading to yellowing foliage, and in extreme cases, death. However, Long John grafted onto G. robusta has proven to eliminate this problem. In our nursery, we have never observed the slightest sign of chlorosis on any of the plants we've produced.
